Directly over the road from Clyde's picturesque 9-hole Dunstan Golf Course, Clyde Motel is quite literally a slice of heaven --- with golfers occasionally sending their slice shots bouncing down our entrance way. Of course, being so close to the golf course we offer our guests quality hire clubs and golf carts.

Cottage-Style accommodation

With all units being one and two bedroom, Clyde Motel was built at a time before land and construction costs dictated small and pokey. But that doesn't make our units dated. All are kept freshly painted and have recently refurbished bathrooms with separate toilet cubicle. All have a fully equipped kitchen, dining table and spacious lounge with sofa, easy chairs and television. While interior design is similar, each unit is individualised through colour and furnishings. It all adds up to cottage-style accommodation that the moment you walk through your unit door makes you feel welcome and right at home.

Ideal for friends or groups holidaying together

Two friends or two couples holidaying together, having two separate bedrooms means much greater personal privacy. While all our two bedroom cottage-style units have lounges large enough to accommodate quite a crowd, our sheltered and well cared for lawn and garden is ideal for group get-togethers be it afternoon drinks, a special celebration or an evening self-cook barbecue.

Self-cater or dine out

Each unit's fully equipped kitchen has an oven with cook-top, microwave and refrigerator plus all the pots and pans, crockery and cutlery for successful self-catering. Guests have been known to cook Christmas dinner in their unit kitchen. Although a small town, Clyde has grocery and frozen goods shopping and even its own specialist sausage maker, Sausage Alley. For those nights you can't be bothered cooking, excellent restaurant dining is just a short stroll down the road. The Post Office Cafe is to be recommended.

With the Old Man and Cairnmuir Ranges dominating the horizon, staying at Clyde Motel really does deliver that get-away feeling and yet we are just moments from Clyde's bars, shops and cafes. What's more, from dawn to dusk we are bathed in Central Otago's sunshine.
